TAKE

John from the band TAKE writes in the very first edition of "Behind the Song" about false prophets that use Christianity to sell their products just for monetary gain. They also explain why this song has two titles.
"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves."
-Matthew 7:15

Our song Leach/Leech is calling out pastors and leaders within the church who are only playing nice with God to get rich and/or become famous.

I was up late one night and this infomercial came on where the pastor said if you buy this holy water that we prayed over, you will be blessed with health and wealth. I was so mad and immediately started to pen Leach/Leech. First off, holy water isn't going to do anything for ya. Second, they are selling it to line their pockets!!!

In the song I say "when you're gone, when you're dead and gone, all the lies will sing your songs" which is basically saying, the truth will come out. The reason the song has two names is because these so called leaders are leeching off of God and in the end, they will be sifted which is what a leach field does.

I want to end with this. If you've been hurt by a wolf in sheep's clothing, a leader that pretended to be something they weren't and led you astray, Jesus is calling you home. Don't put your trust and faith in man, but in Christ alone. We all fall but Jesus never will. TAKE has always been a band that wants to communicate with your friends/fans. If you all ever want to chat, talk, vent, whatever, hit us up.
